Kexo launches on the App Store as an AI weight-loss coach that goes beyond calorie counting
Built in Slovakia, Kexo connects food, sleep, workouts, gut health and mood to uncover the patterns behind weight-loss progress.
Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, 31 August 2026. Kexo, a personal AI weight-loss coach, is now available for iPhone on the App Store.
Unlike traditional calorie trackers or apps that simply estimate calories from a photo, Kexo follows the user’s whole week. It connects food with sleep, workouts, gut health, hydration, weight and mood to identify patterns that may be slowing progress and suggest specific next steps.
Users can log a meal by sending a message, taking a photo, recording a voice note or scanning a barcode. Kexo estimates the meal in seconds, while keeping every result editable. As it learns more about the user’s habits, it provides coaching based on their own data instead of generic advice.
“Most apps stop when they show you a calorie number. For Kexo, that is only the beginning,” said Jozef Toth, founder of Kexo. “I wanted a coach that could understand my real week, find where things were going wrong and tell me what to change.”
Toth started building Kexo after exercising for four months without seeing his weight move. Once he began logging honestly, he discovered that he was eating around 30 percent more than he thought. Using Kexo, he has since lost 17 kilograms.
“I didn’t need another diet or more motivation. I needed an honest picture of what I was actually eating,” Toth said. “Once I could see that, I finally knew what to fix.”
Early Kexo users have also recorded meaningful results. Published user logs include weight losses of 11 kilograms over 13 weeks, 7.6 kilograms over 11 weeks and 5.6 kilograms over eight weeks. These are individual results, not typical or guaranteed outcomes. Weight loss varies according to each person’s calorie deficit, consistency and circumstances.
The native iPhone app includes camera, voice and barcode logging, Apple Health integration, Apple Watch voice logging, home-screen widgets, Siri and Shortcuts support, and the ability to share meal photos directly from other apps into Kexo.
Kexo is available now for iPhone through the App Store. A paid subscription is required.
